Christmas is coming!

Christmas is so close now and it's a great feeling to have something exciting and fun to look forward to! This time of year always includes a lot of sparkles, laughs and some delicious food and drinks which we can assume everyone is looking forward to!

During this time, children will be getting excited to break up from school and to use the time off to celebrate Christmas - this includes indulging in all the sweets and treats! It's important to maintain and upkeep a good dental health routine for your family to help prevent plaque build up and cavities forming. We recommend following this routine daily to help maintain healthy teeth and gums:

Use interdental brushes in between teeth and hard to reach places
Rinse with a fluoride mouthwash for approximately 60 seconds
Brush teeth for two minutes with an electric toothbrush

Repeat this routine morning and evening with use of dental floss and/or interdental brushes throughout the day. This will really make a difference to your teeth and gums and by following this routine and continuing with your routine dental and hygienist appointments, your teeth and gums will maintain healthy and protected.

We advise for children to see the hygienist as well as the Dentist, to maintain good oral health and to get them used to a good cleaning routine and used to visiting the dental practice
