Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic dentistry can change your outlook on life as well as your appearance. Creating a beautiful smile can help you feel more outgoing and confident and the transformation in your social and professional relationships may amaze you.

Aromaden Dental Spa can offer you the unique opportunity to design your ideal smile before any work is done. This process is called ‘Smile Design’.

Invisalign
Invisible braces otherwise known an ‘Invisalign’ is an invisible way to straighten teeth using a series of custom-made, nearly undetectable aligners.

Upon an initial examination Dr Rikhi, decides if Invisalign is right for you. He will write a treatment plan and take an impression of your teeth, which are submitted to Invisalign. Using the latest advances in 3D computer technology, Invisalign carefully translates Dr Rikhi's instructions into a series of precisely customised aligners. You then wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, moving your teeth gradually - week by week, millimetre by millimetre - until you have achieved the intended result - straighter teeth.

White Fillings

White fillings are used to repair a decaying or broken tooth or to change the shape or size of a tooth. Composite resin is intricately applied to the tooth before a special light is used to harden it. The composite resin is a very hard and durable material and has the advantage that it can be matched to your existing tooth colour.

Veneers
Veneers are thin, semi translucent porcelain ‘shell’ like restorations, which are custom made to fit precisely an existing tooth. They are bonded into place using a special resin that adheres to the front of the tooth. The finished result is extremely strong, durable and natural looking.

Veneers are a great cosmetic solution for a variety of problems:

- closing diastemas (spaces between teeth)
- restoring broken or chipped teeth
- covering stained, unsightly fillings
- permanently whitening teeth
- correcting uneven or crooked teeth

Porcelain crowns are used to restore damaged or decayed teeth to normal shape and size. They are strong and durable and because they are constructed fully from porcelain there are no unsightly metal margins that show.

Our crowns are manufactured using the latest state-of-the-art technology. They are milled from a solid block of high grade porcelain from a super accurate 3d computer generated image (CEREC). This produces a stunningly life like, yet incredibly strong porcelain crown restoration.

We offer three different options when it comes to replacing missing teeth. This depends on where and how many teeth are missing and the patients’ own choice.

Bridges
These are used to replace missing teeth by using crowns that slip over the teeth either side of the gap and a replacement tooth is added to fill the space.

Implants
These are an alternative way of replacing missing teeth, especially if multiple teeth are missing, however, there must be adequate bone density present in order to successfully place an implant. Implants are artificial roots which are usually made from titanium, posts and a crown which acts as the replacement tooth. The implants are placed in the jawbone where they heal before the post and crown are attached.

Dentures
This is a popular option when all or most of the teeth are missing

Inlays
Porcelain Inlays are used in place of white filling material. They provide excellent cosmetic results along with increased strength and durability. Inlays are bonded to the tooth surface and enable a minimum amount of natural tooth substance to be removed.

Our inlays are manufactured using the latest state-of-the-art technology. They are milled from a solid block of high grade porcelain from a super accurate 3d computer generated image (CEREC). This produces a stunningly life like, yet incredibly strong porcelain inlay restoration.

To compliment and enhance our cosmetic dental procedures, we have recently introduced wrinkle correction treatments, such as Botox and temporary dermal fillers, such as Restylane.

Dr Rikhi can now not only transform your smile, he can enhance your own natural beauty by helping prevent and reverse the signs of ageing.

Wrinkle Correction
Wrinkle Relaxing Injection - deep wrinkles such as crows feet and frown lines are caused by overactive muscle movement which gradually wear away the collagen in the skin, causing the skin to sink and wrinkles to appear.

Treatment involves a muscle relaxant being injected directly into the wrinkles, which temporarily relaxes the nerves of the facial muscles, preventing the formation of wrinkles whilst softening existing lines.

The treatment generally takes 5-8 days to work and lasts between 3-4 months.

Temporary Dermal Fillers - collagen replacement therapy using dermal fillers such as Restylane is a popular treatment for wrinkles and facial lines. The procedure helps to 'fill out' and smooth away troublesome nose to mouth grooves, forehead lines, frown furrows, lipstick lines, acne pits and crows feet. Collagen treatment is also effective for augmenting narrow lips.

Prior to the treatment, a mild anaesthetic is applied in the area and the dermal filler is then injected into the wrinkle. A small amount of redness may occur around the treatment area but this only lasts for a few hours.

These temporary dermal fillers can last from 4-12 months depending on your age, skin type, lifestyle and muscle activity.

Zoom! Tooth Whitening
Tooth whitening is an amazingly simple procedure that can benefit almost anyone who wants a whiter, brighter smile.

The ‘in office’ procedure takes 60-90 minutes and involves using a bleaching gel and an activating light. We currently use the Zoom Whitening System and the Luma Arch Light. The results are instant and you leave the office with a whiter more dazzling smile.

The ‘at home’ procedure involves wearing a pre filled tray for 1 hour per day for even to ten days.

The results can be dramatic but the procedure may not be suitable for every one.
