Replacing Missing Teeth
We offer three different options when it comes to replacing missing teeth. This
depends on where and how many teeth are missing and the patients own choice.
Bridges
These are used to replace missing teeth by using crowns that slip
over the teeth either side of the gap and a replacement tooth is added to fill
the space.
Implants
These are an alternative way of replacing missing teeth, especially if multiple
teeth are missing, however, there must be adequate bone density present in order
to successfully place an implant. Implants are artificial roots which are usually
made from titanium, posts and a crown which acts as the replacement tooth. The
implants are placed in the jawbone where they heal before the post and crown
are attached.
Dentures
This is a popular option when all or most of the teeth are missing |
